Today is it my friends!  NFL football returns and here at The Brink, it can not come a moment too soon.  Too many of us have been simulating games on Madden or using pen and paper to put W’s an L’s next to every game during the season.  Round the office, we took a poll as to the pecking order in the pros.  We have come up with our ten.  With it comes a universally high ranked team with a fatal flow.  How did they cope with it or at all this season?  All this and what we will be drinking when kickoff comes this evening.

Lonely Langford

Most players when they switch teams expect to make contributions right away but to the scale that Kendall Langford is being asked to in Indy?  From the Rams, he represents almost the complete entirety of experience on the porous defensive line.  Remember the laughable unit that New England just ran right up the middle on.  At least the Colts are not accepting this.  They scouted and determined to go with a bunch of undrafted players to help bolster the ranks.  The Bills game will see the Colts start two rookies on the defensive line.  Rex Ryan is salivating as his running game would deflect his team’s quarterback issues.  Look for ball control and a long first month for Indy.  They will score with anyone but in a more run orientated league this season, go with the ML Bills for the first game against these Colts.

Blending In

Our Blade and Bow Kentucky bourbon is what will be in our shot glass as the first kickoff is in the air.  It is a light bourbon that has been aged in several different barrels that each impart their own unique taste.  That last slight kick of pepper offsets all the other tones magically.  At just under $60.00 a bottle, it is the ideal budget bourbon that gets the job done on special occasions.
