Besides the last slot for the AL Wild Card, the playoff picture for potential wildcads in Major League Baseball has been galvanized.  What the perspective handicapper needs to examine are two elements. What are these keys that can get you onto that profit train by getting to work right now on possible MLB scenarios.  Americas Bookie’s The Brink shares with you our impressions of who is built for playoff success and the others that are just regular season warriors.

Tangled Trio

One slot remains for the Twins, Angels, and Astros to squabble over.  The two one and dones of these three are the Angels and Twins.  LAA does not have anyone close to an ace.  Garrett Richards has limped home this last month and without Mike Trout hitting the cover out of the ball, this team is more of an instant out than the Twins.  For Minnesota at least they have Ervin Santana but he is out serving a drug suspension.  At least if the Twins kept it close, we have faith in their ability to bat in the clutch.  Tori Hunter and crew have that over the Angels but this team would still fall to the other team in the wild card playoff game.

Polarization

Houston could greatly benefit from having this game at home.  Dallas Keuchel is 14-0 with a sub run and a half era.  Alas even if the Astros hold on, they will not host.  Left handed starting pitching is still strong.  Massive bats abound with the capacity to crush the ball in any stadium.  All of these with the streaky potential they have equates to no division winner wanting to see them advance.  The old men on the pinstripes are so much more preferable to a young team that does not know the magnitude of the situation.  Lots of teams will not admit it but they will be railing for the Twins or Angels to sneak in over the Astros.

Finally, the other Wild Card will be the Yankees.  No way Toronto has worked this hard to surrender a four game lead this late.  We will get to see how the foreign born Tanaka will get to do when all the chips are in the middle.  Difference here is that New York can shorten the game by several innings with their bullpen.  They have enough in them to take the wild card and save Joe Girardi’s job for one more year.  Good fortune with your NFL Wagering today and we will see you tomorrow with our Monday Night Football Free Pick here at The Brink.
