Betting This Year’s Masters

2019 Masters- Outright Win

The futures odds to win this year’s Masters reads like a who’s who in the sport. Rory McIlroy tops the list as a +750 favorite followed by Dustin Johnson as a +1000 second-favorite. Neither player has ever won this tournament to add just a bit more pressure to get it done this year. McIlroy’s struggles at Augusta in Sunday’s final round have been well documented and Johnson’s best finish is a tie for fourth in eight previous tries.

Justin Rose is third on the list at +1400. Over the course of his highly successful career, he has posted five finishes in the Top 5 of this tournament. This includes a second-place finish in 2015 and 2017. However, he is still looking for his first win here.

The fourth-favorite on the list is Tiger Woods at +1600 betting odds. He has been one of the most dominant players in the Masters over the course of his career with four green jackets on his resume. However, he has yet to prove that his game is back to the level needed to win jacket No. 5.

If you are looking to take a flyer on a golfer at longer odds, Bubba Watson offers some solid value at +3300. He has been hit or miss at Augusta over the course of his career, but he is also one of the few players in this year’s field with a pair of Masters’ victories. That proven potential to win is his biggest asset.

2019 Masters- Top 10 Finish

Picking the actual winner in any professional golf tournament is a tall task, let alone a Major. A much higher percentage bet is picking a player to finish in the Top 10. The return is much lower, but so is the risk.

McIlroy’s odds to place in the Top 10 have been set at -140. There is a higher risk factor with this bet, but he has been able to place 10th or better in his last five Masters.

Next on the list is Johnson at even-money +100 betting odds. After missing the cut at Augusta in 2014, the world’s top golfer has strung together three-straight Top 10 runs in the Masters. He missed this event in 2017 due to a freak injury off the course.

As the best golfer never to win a Major, the pressure at Augusta continues to mount for Ricky Fowler. His betting odds to break through with a victory this week are set at +1800. The better value is his +160 betting odds to finish in the Top 10. His career record at this course is a bit more scattered after missing the cut in 2016, but he is coming off a second-place finish in last year’s tournament in his best effort to date.

2019 Masters- Other Betting Options

The list of golf betting options for this tournament expands every year. Along with a full list of betting odds for head-to-head matchups, there is a grocery list of props on the board covering just about every aspect of this year’s Masters.
