Top Racehorses 2021

There are already many big names as we move into this year’s horse racing, and the Road to the Kentucky Derby leaderboard is set to be competitive.

One of the leading names on that board and a top runner in 2021 is Essential Quality. Owned by Godolphin and trained by Brad H. Cox, the 3-year-old colt is one of the most highly anticipated racehorses of the year.

He is the winner of big races like the Nov. 6 TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and the Oct. 3 Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity.

Some of the other big names to look out for when betting horse racing in 2021 include Keepmeinmind, Midnight Bourbon, Jackie’s Warrior and Spielberg. Also on our radar are Get Her Number, Sittin On Go, Brooklyn Strong, Capo Kane, Life Is Good, and Hot Rod Charlie.

Back to Regular Schedule

Last year saw many changes in the sport, including cancellations, delays, and a completely new schedule. The Triple Crown was one of the events turned upside down.

The New York Racing Association decided to move the Kentucky Derby from May to September, the Preakness Stakes from May to October, and the Belmont Stakes from June 6 to June 20.

However, anyone looking to bet the ponies can feel pretty confident that 2021 will see the sport pick up its traditional schedule once again. There have been a few slight changes regarding certain tracks and their meet dates. But for the most part, there have been no major changes.

Prestigious events like the Pegasus World Cup ran on Jan. 23, and other big outings have their dates set. The San Vicente Stakes (G2) will run on Feb. 7, while the Louisiana Premier series will be on Feb. 10.

Gulfstream Park Sprint (G3) is set to run on Feb. 13, the Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) on Feb. 27, and the Carter Handicap (G1) on April 3.

The Arkansas Derby (G1) is scheduled for April 10, and the Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) is set for April 17, along with many other highly-anticipated races.

As for the Triple Crown series, the races are set to run on their traditional days.

Develop Your Strategy – Betting Horse Racing in 2021

With the sport returning to some form of normalcy, it is also a good time for bettors to develop their strategies. This might have been difficult last year due to the schedule changes, which often resulted in scratches and other unpredictable outcomes. But 2021 holds new potential.

You can develop a strong strategy with straight and exotic bets. Or you can take it a step further and use complex systems like the Dutching Betting method or The Statistical Lay. By doing this, you will increase your chances of staying in the green.

However, the actual betting systems mean nothing if you don’t have a solid bankroll management plan. That can help you develop a long-term winning strategy.

With all of that being said, make sure to pay attention to the top horses for 2021. Watch their prep races leading up to the Triple Crown Series. Then develop a long-term strategy to set yourself up for an exciting year of horse race betting.
