This is not “Dog Week.” Traditionally the home teams win this week, and depending on the point spread will cover. Most uneducated bettors will be all over the winners from last week because it’s fresh in their minds, and although we know that the Giants, Ravens and a few others have made a wild card run, in general the more rested, and generally better home teams will move on to the conference title games.
How can that not be called pass interference on the Cowboys in the game last week. After years and years of receivers running down field then bumping the DB and falling down, this guy blatantly “INTERFERED” with the other guys’ ability to make the catch and it wasn’t called. Also Bryant taking off his helmet and complaining wasn’t called. The refs bet on this one and the fix was in.
I read somewhere that Tampa Bay better be careful taking Winston or Mariota with the top overall pick. First of all they should’ve given Glennon a better shot. Second of all Winston could very easily turn into Vince Young and although it was suggested that Mariota is a system quarterback and might be another Joey Harrington, we feel that it’s more likely he turns into Russell Wilson.
The Giants seem to win the Super Bowl every four years and it’s when they play the Jets and the Pats in the regular season. That is next year, and since the offense is now fixed, coupled with the fact that they fired the defensive coordinator it means that the defense might be fixed next year as well. With 24 guys coming back from IR and another good draft, I might put some money on them at America’s Bookie at odds of around 35-1 or more to start, I’m guessing.
I heard that the coach recommended Johnny Manziel was Fired in Cleveland. We still believe in Manziel and feel he will be the 21st century version of Fran Tarkenton and Doug Flutie, only faster and with a better arm. The problem is he must grow up and maybe after this horrible year he gets the message to prepare better and not party so much, but then again remember how stupid you were at that age.
Enjoy the games this week guys because you know it will be over soon, and it will be a long cold summer or winter depending on where you live waiting for the best sport in the world to return. See you next week.
