It was another busy week in the sportsbook industry: two players were not aware that VIP Sports, Nine.com, BetGameday closed, a Bet770 player sent a payout complaint, a WagerWeb player received $2,500 of a $5,000 withdrawal request sent on Thursday, July 7th and twelve VIP Sports players wait for their final payment. Here’s what happened:

– VIP Sports and their sister sportsbooks closed on August 1st, VIP Sports displayed a note on their website asking players to request a payout prior to August 1st but two players were not aware that the sportsbooks went out of business. These players have not been contacted yet with instructions on how to proceed with requesting their funds.

– A Bet770 player made a withdrawal of £420 on July 20th and on August 3rd he received £70, the equivalent amount of his initial deposit. The player claims that after sending multiple emails Bet770 has not replied to explain the deposit refund.

– A WagerWeb player received $2,500 of a $5,000 withdrawal request sent on Thursday, July 7th. The player hasn’t been able to arrange for payment for the rest of his balance. WagerWeb offered to send another portion of the funds owed to the player.

– Twelve VIP Sports players are owed a total of $8,432. The players did not request a withdrawal before the VIP Sports deadline of August 1st. VIP Sports Management has not provided a timetable on when the players who did not request their balances before August 1st can expect payment.
