Here are the latest news in the sportsbook industry:

– Oddsmaker Sportsbook is not paying their players. On October 1st a player requested a $3,000 payout via Moneybookers and the Oddsmaker Sportsbook customer support department gave him the following generic replies over a four-week span:

First reply: We do apologize for the delay but we’re still working with the MoneyBookers to have your paymen sent out. You will be notify via email once we have an update.

Second reply: We do not have an update yet from the proper department and we cannot give you any time frame when your pay out will be send because we cannot still get into the moneybookers to pay you.

Third reply: We do apologize but we cannot send it via bankwire. We can only send in to you via moneybookers but we cannot still have them to pay you.

Fourth reply: We only have check withdrawal method for cashing out and we cannot send you one because you are a non-US customer. We only can pay you via Moneybookers and there’s no update yet from the proper department.

Fifth reply: We really do apologize for the delays of your withdrawal request. Please wait for the email from Cashier Department, they will respond to you once information are already available.

– WSEX Sportsbook currently owns $610,990 to 93 players, with outstanding requests dating as far back as October of 2009. The sportsbook confirmed that not all the payout requests can be paid at once and once again pinned the blame on processor challenges instead of a lack of a liquidity.

– VIPSports.eu is still making deceptive sales pitches to former clients of the now defunct VIP Sports group. The emails that VIPSports.eu is distributing suggest that it is the same as the terminated VIP Sports operation. Ask The Bookie confirms that the original VIP Sports is not back; however, former marketing personnel is attempting to capitalize on the brand’s name by releasing targeted emails to former VIP Sports and Nine.com customers.

VipSports.eu is hosted on a different wagering platform, in a different country and with different owners. Ask The Bookie advises players to approach the new VIPSports.eu as an unknown site and proceed with caution as with all new sportsbook companies.

VipSports.eu is the latest licensee of the Safari Casino Group. Safari provides VipSports.eu with wagering software, hosting and processors in exchange for a monthly royalty. Safari Casino Group also powers Dimeline Sportsbook, BetTheGlobe and Safari Casino.
