Here are the latest news in the sportsbook industry:

– As reported on our Sports Betting earlier this week, four BetOnline poker players had their payouts on hold while they were audited for suspected chip dumping. The largest case is from a player with a balance of $65,000. Last Wednesday BetOnline reactivated the player’s account and he is free to continue to play or request a withdrawal of his $65,000 balance.

This is BetOnline’s statement:

After an exhaustive and extensive investigation of the players activity we have taken the decision to honor the players claim to his winnings. As a new poker platform we believe it is essential to maintain the utmost security in our systems for the safety of our players and to conform to our regulatory obligations of our license. It’s not a fast process but ultimately it is the fairest.

I appreciate the patience of you and the community at large during this process and we will be contacting the player today to let him know his account has been reactivated and he can continue to play or take a payout as per our normal processes and rules.

– A MyBet Sportsbook player sent an account complaint. He registered with MyBet Sportsbook and made a first deposit of €80 before increasing his account to €368.71 and MyBet Sportsbook refunded his deposit and closed his account after accusing him of being connected to other accounts. The player denies the charge. Ask The Bookie will update this report.
