Do you remember when you were a kid and there was a thing called “Dynasties” in the NFL? You could always count on teams such as the Steelers, Cowboys, Raiders, Vikings and Dolphins to be a large favorite every week and make the playoffs and have a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Nowadays the NFL stands for (NOT FOR LONG) or what have done for me lately? It really is becoming a “Week to week” league in which anyone can beat anyone based on matchups and game planning. This is great for places such as America’s Bookie in which everyone seems to go back one week in placing their bets every week.
Take this week’s game with the Cowboys vs. the Giants. Last week the Giants were totally destroyed by Philly in every phase of the game. The Cowboys on the other hand went into Seattle and beat them in their unbeatable stadium. Therefore the Cowboys are now a 6-point favorites and growing. Everyone in going to bet Dallas and expect a blowout and it won’t happen. Last week all the experts on TV were picking the Giants to win and saying that the Cowboys had no shot in Seattle. The Giants were certainly not as good as their three-game win streak showed and people “drank the Kool Aid.” The Cowboys were also playing well but looked like the worst team in football in week one vs. Frisco. Even the team buys into it. The Giants were joking around in practice and when they spoke to the media. Henceforth they got their butts kicked. The Cowboys didn’t listen to all the negativity in the papers and started to play better football.
Remember the Pats getting killed by KC one week and then killing the Bengals as a 3-point home dog the next, or the Falcons putting up 58 points one week and not winning since.
So what does this mean to you as a bettor? It means wait until the line gets up to 7 and jump all over the Giants this week. The Giants got the message last week from the coach from the fans and the QB, who said the team needs to “Grow Up.” Although I haven’t heard much of the media reports in Dallas, we are sure that the Cowboys are talking Super Bowl after beating the Seahawks last week. All this adds up to the G-Men covering and probably beating the Boys this week. Eli is 4-1 in the new Cowboys Stadium.
Do yourself a favor when you call up America’s Bookie and try to predict what will happen this week when placing your bets and not look back as the past is the past.
